The GROUP buying craze in Manila - complete list with details!

One of the interesting discoveries I had last 2010 was the concept of group buying. I didn't know there were so-called 'group buying sites' until I chanced upon an entry in a blog which showed a deal from CashCashPinoy. I didn't understand the dynamics at first but when I logged on to CashCashPinoy and read how their site works, I was finally enlightened! Little did I know, this was already a craze everywhere in the world. Finally, group buying sites have emerged in Manila and I was lucky enough to find out about them.

To give you a background on group buying, it's basically buying a deal offered at a significantly reduced price (usually 50 - 90% off) once a certain number of people have purchased the deal given a limited period of time. Some sites though don't require a minimum number of purchases, deals/vouchers can be bought right away. Deals offered range from food and drinks vouchers at premium restaurants, hotels and establishments in Manila. Other services offered includes salon, spa, pet grooming, photo, car services as well as luxury travel and accommodation in various places in the Philippines.

Group Buying started with GROUPON and now it has resulted to a lot of 'GROUPON' clones emerging everywhere in the world, offering great deals and huge discounts to various products and services.
